Tāra

A Vaiṣṇava calendar and jyotiṣa companion for iPhone and iPad.

Tāra calculates the Gauḍīya Vaiṣṇava calendar for wherever you are: the tithi and nakṣatra of each day, Ekādaśī and fasting days, festivals, and the appearance and disappearance days of ācāryas. It can remind you ahead of the days you observe, and it offers a gentle reading of the day from your janma nakṣatra.

Common questions

Why does a date differ from another calendar? Observances depend on sunrise at your location. Check that the location in Settings is where you are observing.

Which ayanāmśa does Tāra use? Lahiri, the standard for the Gauḍīya calendar. It affects nakṣatra and māsa; tithi, and so the date of Ekādaśī, does not depend on it.

Where are my birth details kept? Only on your device. See the privacy policy.
